Waiting on Wednesday: Such a Rush

Time for another amazing Wednesday! :)

Waiting On Wednesday
is a weekly event, hosted by the awesome Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating! This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:

Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols
Release Date: July 10, 2012
Series: N/A
Links: Goodreads | Amazon | Amazon CA | The Book Depository
A sexy and poignant romantic tale of a young daredevil pilot caught between two brothers.

High school senior Leah Jones loves nothing more than flying. While she’s in the air, it’s easy to forget life with her absentee mother at the low-rent end of a South Carolina beach town. When her flight instructor, Mr. Hall, hires her to fly for his banner advertising business, she sees it as her ticket out of the trailer park. And when he dies suddenly, she’s afraid her flying career is gone forever.

But Mr. Hall’s teenage sons, golden boy Alec and adrenaline junkie Grayson, are determined to keep the banner planes flying. Though Leah has crushed on Grayson for years, she’s leery of getting involved in what now seems like a doomed business — until Grayson betrays her by digging up her most damning secret. Holding it over her head, he forces her to fly for secret reasons of his own, reasons involving Alec. Now Leah finds herself drawn into a battle between brothers — and the consequences could be deadly.

(summary taken from Goodreads)
Three of Mimi's Deep Dark Secrets:
  1. Mimi loves books about brothers. It's probably not healthy to love them both and it's probably not good, but she can't help but be attracted to boys with the same last name!
  2. Mimi has always wanted to fly like a bird! She used to be terrified of airplane rides, but now she really likes them. And the food. And the strange pillows. And the roller coaster sensation. And the excuse to chew gum like a madman.
  3. Mimi succumbs to peer pressure easily. With all of her friends gushing about this book like CRAZY, how could she be able to resist???
And those are three reasons why I really, really want to read Such a Rush!! ;)

WHAT BOOK ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

-Mimi

P.S. My first exam is tomorrow (!!!) and I'm so nervous! Hopefully it will be okay? :')

  1. Mimi! It's always the brothers that's a girl's downfall. But I think I've come up with a good solution in such cases: I get one brother, and you get the other! And then we can always switch! Haha. Kidding!

Good luck on your exams tomorrow! Here, have some of my magical smarty dust!

  2. Oh my goodness Mimi what a great choice!! Seriously OMG! :) I have a feeling that you are going to love this one!! I sure did!! AND I also have a feeling that you are going to love Grayson. He was such a hottie. <3 I love books about brothers too, and Grayson and Alec are really epic brothers. :D I love flying too! When I was 5 years old, I really wanted to be a pilot even though I had an irrational fear of airplanes. But now I love them! I'm actually going to Italy on this Friday and I'm so looking forward to that long flight! Can't wait to watch all those movies and basically burn my eyes out LOL. Awesome sauce pick as usual, Mimi sweetie!!! Doll, we could really be soul-sisters or something!! Maybe we were Gypsy sisters or something in our past lives ;) I love you forever and ever, Mimi-doll!! <3

  9. The thing that makes me nervous about this book is the love triangle with brothers-it's one thing with guys who hate each other or who are best friends. But boys who share the same blood kind of creeps me out. I know that doesn't bother everyone but that's what I'm most worried about when reading this.

Good luck on your exams-I'm sure you've been studying and are well-prepared to rock it!
