I'll always have a soft spot for Meg Cabot, even when her books are a hit or miss for me. I loved reading your review and what you found wrong with the novel. Haha, I seriously can't remember much about the main character so she didn't really make an impression on me. I know Meg Cabot is definitely capable of strong, sassy female characters so I hope Pierce shows it too! I'm glad to see that Abandon doesn't break the trend of good books even if it wasn't a favourite or anything.

Ahhh, John sounds like such a great character <3 I can't wait to read all about his relationship with Pierce and how it works with the original Hades/Persephone myth.

It's kind of interesting that you mention Pierce being shy and selfless since Kate from The Goddess Test is just like that too and I'm pretty sure the books -- both about the Persephone myth -- came out at the same time. Interesting LOL.

Great review! :) You do such an awesome job of bringing out the good points despite those that you don't like as much.

SoniaSoniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14180755111437637132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5841889026658306428.post-15939346895925923692012-03-14T15:16:40.282-04:002012-03-14T15:16:40.282-04:00I'm really glad you enjoyed this one, Mimi, ev...I'm really glad you enjoyed this one, Mimi, even though it didn't blow your mind.
