MY THOUGHTS:

After the jaw-dropping way that Crescendo ended, I had to rush to get my hands on a copy of this book. And I loved it! Thrilling and enticing and incredibly entertaining, Silence was a third book kept my attention until the last page was turned!

Picking up only a few weeks after Crescendo's abrupt end, Silence starts with Nora not remembering anything since before she met Patch. I LOVE how Fitzpatrick incorporated memory loss into her story we got to experience Nora and Patch connecting all over again, and it added a hint of a mystery sort of feel that kept us even more intrigued!

We also get to learn a bit more about Fitzpatrick's cool angel lore, with its body-possessing fallen angels and army-building Nephilim. There was a lot of foreshadowing to war in this book! And with the way it ended, I'm sure there's going to be an EPIC conclusion in the last one!

Fast-paced and gripping, Silence was an awesome installment to the Hush, Hush saga! You should definitely pick this one up. And yes, for Patch-lovers like me out there, there are plenty of swoon-worthy scenes (though I have to admit that I'm crushing on Scottie the hottie too!).

YAY to Becca Fitzpatrick for making a fourth book! It can't come fast enough! :)

BUY or BORROW?: This would make a perfect edition to your Becca Fitzpatrick collection! A must-have for anyone who has read this series, or wants to start.

  3. Oooohhh I still need to read this one! Nora and Patch drove me a little crazy in Crescendo with their mind games, but I still enjoy this series and like the idea of getting to see Nora and Patch start over again:) Awesome review Mimi, I can't wait to see how this whole series ends!

  5. Yeah, I'm with Jenny. Crescendo kind of drove me batty, but I'm curious as to what happens next for Nora and Patch. I didn't know about the memory loss thing. That seems like an interesting development.

Thanks for the review, Mimi. Now I know to brace myself. :)

  9. I loved Silence! :) Crescendo was ok, but sometimes I just wanted to smack Patch in the face, hard. How on earth could he?! But ok. Whatever. And then in Silence was ok, you can see in this book how much he really loves her. He even let her go, not remembering him. I was crying so hard :) He is so perfect :) He is one of my favourites bad boys ever :D <3

A really lovely review Mimi ;)

  10. WAAAHH, you just gave me a major dileeeeemaa, Mimi!!! ~ I really, really want to read this book, but I'm only allowed a certain amount of books per month! (Like 2 -- not enough to satisfy this book-crazy girl LOL!)

...Aw hell, I'm gonna get this one anyways! :P Thanks a gazillion for this fantastic review, Mimi! I'm super-stoked to read more about my Patch now!! :)

  11. I just couldn't get into this series! I tried, I did...but it just didn't work for me. I'm really glad you're enjoying it, though - there's nothing like a series for really good character development. :)

  12. I didn't realize there were four books; I thought this was a typical YA paranormal trilogy. Not sure these books are my speed but glad to hear that you're enjoying them!

  13. Great review, Mimi! Every time I see this I'm reminded I definitely need to continue the series. I'm just stuck at book two! I'm way too scared to read it after the negative feedback it's gotten. o: But then again, I'm odd, so I might just like it! And this seems to be really good! Sounds interesting with the memory loss. o: I'm intrigueddd!

I keep hearing so much about these books, but just haven't been hooked yet. But maybe I should just bite the bullet and trust all the bloggers that say these books are awesome reads.
